Mariano Martín Rodríguez is a translator and independent scholar living in Brussels (Belgium). He obtained his PhD in Philology at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 1994. Since then, he has published numerous studies in different languages related to modern drama, scientific romance, science fiction and speculative fiction, in Spain and in Europe, as well as critical editions of translations from Romance languages and English into Spanish, and academic editions of Spanish, French and Romanian works of fantastic, speculative and utopian fiction. He is co-director of the online journal Revista Hélice and a member of the HISTOPIA research group on utopias and future history (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid).
